Company Leagues and Centerfire League
The Annual Company Leagues have come to their conclusion again this year with several different companies participating. The Western Michigan University Flight School has finally been dethroned as the champions after two consecutive years by newcomers, the Kellogg Company. Also participating were Ralston, Duncan Aviation, the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, the Hart-Doyle-Inouye Federal Center, and the Coldwater Area Police. If you are interested in getting your company involved for next year, please contact Joel. The Centerfire League started this week and will run through the end of May. The cost is only $100 and if you are interested in getting involved, stop in, sign up, and get to shooting for competitive fun!
Reciprocity
Probably the most exciting thing that has happened in this first quarter of 2007 is the gains that Michigan has made in reciprocity. Due to the changes in the laws of Kansas, we became eligible for reciprocity with them on January 1st and we were one of the first states that were approved. Minnesota has now approved us for reciprocity after denying us twice. Thankfully, Mr. Robert Ianni in the Michigan Attorney General’s office doesn’t like taking no for an answer and due to his persistence in presenting our case, we have won approval. Again, Attorney General Mike Cox has come through for the law-abiding citizens of this state and we are truly blessed to have such a fine attorney general in this state. Gun of the Month
Saturday, March 31, 2007, is your last day to shoot your Kel-Tec P-3AT if you are a current Gun of the Month Member. Beginning Sunday, April 1, 2007, our new Gun of the Month, the Springfield XD-9, will be available for members to shoot. If you are interested in becoming a Gun of the Month Member and getting the benefit of trying a different gun every month of the year, please contact us and we will get you signed up.
